Artwork story: Wakulda 25
Wakulda translates to ‘As One’ in Gathang, the language of the Birrbay, Warrimay and Guringai peoples.
This artwork illustrates the connectivity of the festive season between communities. Despite coming from different nations with unique lands, languages, stories and practices, the core essence of this season reaches all, as we welcome the New Year ‘As One’.
This artwork was created by Supply Nation Graphic Designer Tarran Marr-Harris, a proud Birrbay, Warrimay and Dhanggati man. Tarran envisions the design as a continuation of the ‘Wakulda’ story — evolving and expanding each year.
